Sardine Sandwiches

Remove the skin and bones from the sardines.
Rub to a paste,
adding an equal quantity of chopped hard-boiled eggs,
seasoned with salt,
cayenne,
lemon juice or vinegar.
Moisten with melted butter
and spread between slices of bread.
